IONM for Orthopedic Surgeries
We provide neuromonitoring for many orthopedic spine procedures.
Clinicians at the Head and Spine Institute are highly-specialized in IONM services for all ortho spine procedures involving high-risk manipulation of critical neural structures. IONM tests help your surgeon avoid manipulation of these pathways that could result in long-term damage, such as loss of sensation and function, or paralysis.
IONM tests relevant for your orthopedic spine surgery may include:
- somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs)
- motor evoked potentials (MEPs)
- electromyography (EMGs)
These procedures are important to consider if you are undergoing surgery for any of the following:
- Scoliosis
- Spinal Laminectomy and Fusion
- Spinal Diskectomy
- Acetabular Fractures and revision
- Instrumentation
- Stenosis
- Spondylilosthesis
- Hip Lengthening or Replacements
